- When does the transfer / registration window close?
Transfer and registrations window closes at the end of January each season, players may register to the team after this point as a TRAINING member only for insurance purposes. They cannot play any official league games.
- What are the transfer fees?
A player moving to another team within the league; will be charged a £25.00 transfer fee, payable to the league.
- Can we request a change in game schedule?
YES…
- How much are the game fees?
Currently the game fees are £40.00 per team per game
- What are the forfeit costs?
If a team cannot field a team for the scheduled games, that team will be liable and charged for the complete fee of the game which includes the fees of their intended opposition, £80.00. The score will be documented as a 10-0 loss against the forfeiting team.
- How many players can I have in each team?
You may register a squad of 17 outfield players and 3 net-minders to any one team.
- Maximum number of players fielded for a game.
You may field 14 of your 17-player squad entitlement and 2 of the 3 net minder entitlement.
- What is the minimum number of players needed to start a game?
The minimum players required to start a game must be 4 registered outfield players and 1 registered net-minder.
- Can we delay the game if our players do not arrive on time?
The start of the game; may be delayed by a total of 15 minutes (10 minutes plus the 5-minute warm up period) in the event of a late arrival. Then normal game forfeit rule shall apply.
- Can a player arriving late join the bench?
Any player that arrives after the game has started must be on the bench fully kitted and able to play before the end of the first period. A player cannot assume a position on the bench after the first period buzzer.
- Can we register players on the day of the game?
The process of registration can be completed on the day with the payment; however, players cannot be ‘recruited’ to a team on the day of the game(s). All players must have been registered on the database and the league Officials notified twenty-four hours prior to the game.
- How long are the games?
Games within our region are 2 periods of 20 minutes
- How long is the warm up period?
There may be a five minute warm up period. This can be reduced at the discretion of the officials on the day subject to game day schedules. Teams cannot enter the hall to begin the warm up before the players from the previous game have left the rink.
- What protective equipment applies for the Senior and Veteran age groups?
Helmets, Gloves, Elbow pads, Shin pads, Padded shorts, Pelvic Protection (box), are mandatory requirements for senior age groups, upper body protection and face protection is optional but recommended.
